Speaking at an iftar dinner party, Ambassador Karslıoğlu said besides the favourable developments experienced in Germany, there were also some ill-fated incidents such as the one on circumcision.
Karslıoğlu said that the unravelling of the misdeeds of a rightist terrorist cell called NSU and the fire in a house in Dortmund which left 3 Turkish children dead were the major incidents of recent months, and noted that the Turks resident in Germany should be more concerned about the troubles and problems of one another.
Touching on the circumcision practise, Ambassador Karslıoğlu said the ruling is embarrasing for Germany and some of the jurists he had talked to had shared his views and were as much worried about the ruling as those for whom circumcision is a vital part of their existance.
