Replying to questions posed by newsmen in Ankara, Bağış recalled the spiral of violence the Syrian people are immersed in and said, when asked how long the Syrian leader had before his imminent exit, that he hoped the Syrian people would have peace in the shortest time possible, adding he did not want to make guesses about his remaining days. He said further that unfortunately, those who did not take Turkey's warnings seriously were now faced with serious difficulties.

Bağış said further that if Al Assad had taken those warnings into consideration, he would not be where he was today and millions of people in his country would have been saved.

Bağış said he hoped calm, order, peace and fraternity would soon prevail in Syria.
