BLAST KILLS TWO SOLDIERS IN DIYARBAKIR

Two soldiers were killed on Friday when a military motorcade en route was hit by a remote-controlled explosive.

The blast killed a sergeant and a private. Two other soldiers and one civilian were also wounded in the attack that occurred around 7 a.m. (0500 GMT) near the town of Lice in Diyarbakir province.

Terrorists buried explosives in a road close to the military barracks in the region and set off by remote control when the military motorcade carrying the soldiers was passing.
