SURPRISE VISIT TO ANKARA

Salihi expected to arrive in Ankara in the afternoon is going to meet Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu. He will depart from Ankara shortly after meeting with Davutoğlu.

The developments in Syria and Iran's nuclear programme are the major subjects expected to be taken up by the two.

Davutoğlu and Salihi spoke on the phone at the week end , which officials said was for the Iranian Foreign Minister to enlist Turkey's assistance to secure the release of Iranian pilgrims kidnapped in the Syrian capital Damascus.
