French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius , speaking on Europe-1 radio said that the possibility of the Syrian government resorting to the direct or indirect use of chemical weapons would immediately be responded.

Fabius said France was keenly bent on instantly responding to that move , adding that those weapons were very dangerous.

The French Foreign Minister said further he was hopeful some developments would take place for humanitarian aid to reach the Syrian people, and pointed to the necessity of a politically made joint decision, calling attention to the vetoes by Russia and China.

He said France had been making efforts for the Syrian opposition to gather under a single roof and for a governmnet representing all segments of Syrian society to be set up and noted it was very important the new Syrian government should safeguard the rights of all the strata of Syrian society.

Fabius also said that France was against an Assad type governmnet to be again at the helm of Syria.
