2 million tulip bulbs are exported to European countries every year.
The Karacadağ area in Şanlıurfa's Siverek Township have been producing tulip bulb for the past 15 years.
The three different kinds of tulip species grown in Karacadağ go to various European countries via a Denizle-based company.
The demand comes from the Netherlands, EU countries and the US for the most part.
The tulip bulbs are also used in the west as a raw material in medical industry and cosmetics besides serving as a tool of landscaping.
