THY EUROLEAGUE FINAL FOUR APPROACHES

Defending champion Panathinaikos and a clear favourite for championship Regal Barcelona have completed their second matches in the series. Barcelona brought the series to 2-0 after defeating Unics Kazan 66-63. Panathinaikos bowed to Maccabi Electra 94-92 in a breathtaking competition.

Last eight teams in the THY Euroleague are vying to be a part of the Final Four in İstanbul.

Having won their first games, Panathinaikos and Regal Barcelona completed their second encounters.

Regal Barcelona defeated Unics Kazan 66-63, bringing the series to 2-0. Thanks to its deep bench and experience, Catalan team had a narrow victory after going through a tough fourth quarter.

Juan Carlos Navarro became the top scorer in the match with 18 points he scored for Barcelona. The Catalans will qualify for the final four in istanbul if they win one more game.

Having won the first game against Maccabi 93-73, Panathinaikos lost the follow up game 94-92, giving Maccabi a chance to bring the series to 1-1. The Greek team tied things up with Maccabi at 83-83 with 14 seconds left in the match, but lost eventually.

Devin Smith of Maccabi played for 42 minutes, and had a performance of 15 points, 9 rebounds. Making appearance in the critical moments, David Blu scored 16 points.

Both teams will play their third matches on tuesday, 27 March.
