Libyan Oil Ministry said the production has reached a level reached before the civil war begun.

The Libyan authorities say it will take time until mid-2012’s to reach the Gaddafi-era production.

The Libyan Oil Ministry said they have boosted the oil production to 1.4 million barrels per day in February, adding that the figure is 100,000 barrels per day higher than the previous month.

The ministry also said that natural gas production has increased 5 percent a day in comparison to the last month.

In the country, oil exploration has resumed in the region of 700 kms south of the capital Tripoli.
