12 year old Dilan and 4 year old Mustafa died on the spot while their brother Mehmet in the hospital he was whisked to for treatment.
The children's mother had died before and their father Muharrem Tüfekçi was not at home when the blaze engulfed the children.
The Tüfekçi family was previously living on the top floor of the same building where a fire broke out again on February 29 with the children playing a dangerous game with fire having been cited as its cause.
The police and the prosecutor's office said an investigation was underway and they could make a statement about the cause of the fire in the forthcoming hours.
