Ripert has come to Van for a visit where he said that they have presented a put forward positive agenda to accelerate accession process.
Ripert reminded that a visa dialogue has been started with Turkey. although the situation is not so satisfactory there is a progress. We will see Turkey in European Union in a short period of time.
Ripert drew attention to the fact that Turkey is an extremely powerful and large country, EU has thousands of laws and regulations and Turkey has to fulfil all of these laws and regulations to be able to join European Union. We are trying to help Turkey because this process is a long process.
Ripert said further that European Union has transferred more than €850 million to Turkey this year to support its accession process with European Union.
