The Economy Ministry has issued a written statement about Çağlayan's official visit. Accordingly, Çağlayan is leaving for Japan today. He will meet Japanese Foreign Minister Koichiro Gemba and Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Yukio Edano. The two countries will sign a Turkey-Japan Economic Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding.
Çağlayan who will deliver a speech at the opening of the Turkish-Japanese Trade and Investment Seminar will also visit the Tokio mosque and the Yunus Emre Culture Centre.
To proceed to Singapore after completion of his contacts in Japan, Economy Minister Çağlayan will meet Singaporean Deputy Prime Minister and Finance and Labour Force Minister Tharman Shanmugaratma and Singorean Trade and Industry Minister Lim Hng Kiang.
Çağlayan who will also open the Turkey-Singapore Trade and Investment Seminar will also meet the CEOs of Singapore's investor companies and hold a meeting with the Asia -Pacific Regional Committee of the World Turkish Business Council.
