Two parked explosives-laden cars in a central Baghdad region close to Counter-Terrorism Unit building exploded with a five minute intervals.
Twin car bombs hit central Baghdad on Tuesday, leaving at least 21 dead.
The twin blasts left 21 people killed and 30 others wounded.
Meanwhile, a third car bomb was neutralized by the security forces before it got explode.
An armed group is said to have held a raid on the counter-terrorism unit after the explosions.
Hence, while security forces were trying to help the victims, at least two suicide bombers dressed as police officers reportedly got into a nearby police station, where al Qaeda prisoners were being held, and tried to free them.
It was unclear how many people had been killed or wounded in the assault, but both bombers had been killed, one security official said.
