OBAMA USES THE TERM "MEDS YEGHERN"

US President Barack Obama has used the word " Meds Yeghern " which means " great calamity " in Armenian in his statement for April 24, the date Armenians have chosen to mark the 1915 incidents.

The US President has so far refrained from using the words in his April 24 statements to make unease in Ankara.

Without changing his attitude in that regard, Obama, this year as well, has opted for a word removed from making Turkey jittery and tightening the Washington-Ankara line.

In a written statement he made on the occasion, he again used " Meds Yeghern " meaning great calamity in the Armenian language.
