The agenda of the programme will be determined by Turkey for a period of one year.
Turkey has assumed an important role in the field of technology by rising to the helm of this programme which has 42 countries as its members.
Science, Industry and Technology Minister Nihat Ergün who attaches great importance to the importance of Research and Development in technology has said Turkey has recently been developing itself by leaps and bounds in research and development activities.
He said further that Turkey is one of the fastest rising countries among the EUROKO members and cited its ascension to 11th place in 2012 from 28th place.
Replying to questions posed by newsmen Ergün said the new incentive system had started receiving a lot of attention from foreign companies.
He said that an American company which first thought of making investment to start business to produce solar panels in Mexico later changed its mind and chose Kilis in south-east Turkey, adding that investments in Turkey had been steadily rising.
